Genesis 1<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep (water), and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:3 And God said, \u201cLet there be light,\u201d and there was light.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:4 And God saw the light that it was good; and God separated between the light and the darkness.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:5 God called the light day and to the darkness, He called night. And it was evening and it was morning. First day.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:6 And God said, \u201cLet there be a firmament in the middle of the waters and let it cause to separate between the waters from the waters.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:7 And God made the firmament and caused to separate between the waters which were under the firmament and between the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:8 And God called the firmament heavens. And it was evening and it was morning. A second day.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:9 And God said, \u201cLet the waters be gathered under the heavens to one place and let the dry land appear\u201d. And it was so.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:10 And God called the dry ground land and to the gathering of the waters he called seas. And God saw that it was good.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:11 And God said, \u201cLet the land produce vegetation: a plant yielding seed, a fruit tree making fruit after its kind with its seed in it upon the land.\u201d And it was so.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:12 And the earth brought forth vegetation: a plant yielding a seed after its kind, a tree making fruit with its seed in it after its kind. And God saw that it was good.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:13 And it was evening and it was morning. Third day.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:14 And God said, \u201cLet there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to separate between the day and between the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;<\/p>\n
Gen.1:15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth.\u201d And it was so.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:16 And God made two great lights, the greater light for dominion over the day and the lesser light for dominion over the night \u2013and the stars also.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:17 And God placed them in the firmament of the heavens to be light upon the earth,<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:18 and to rule the day and the night and to separate between the light and the darkness; And God saw that it was good.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:20 And God said, \u201cLet the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures (that breaths) and birds fly above the earth before the firmament of the heavens.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:21 And God created the great (sea) monsters and every living creature (that breaths) which moves with which the waters swarm after their kind and every winged bird after its kind. And God saw that it was good.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:22 And God blessed them, saying, \u201cBe fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas and let bird(s) multiply on the earth.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:23 And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:24 And God said, \u201cLet the land cause to bring forth living creature after it kind, livestock and creeping thing(s) and beast of the land after its kind.\u201d And it was so.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:25 And God made (wild) beasts of the earth after its kinds and the livestock after its kinds and every creeping thing of the earth after its kind. And God saw that it was good.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:26 And God said,\u201d Let us make a man(kind) in our image, after our likeness and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the bird of the heavens and over the livestock (domestic) and over all the earth and over every creeping thing which creeps upon the earth.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:27 And God created the man in His image, in the image of God, he created him, male and female, he created them.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:28 And God blessed them and God said to them, \u201cBe fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that crawls upon the earth.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:29 Then God said, \u201cBehold I am giving you every plant yielding seed which is on the face of the earth, and every tree which is on it; fruit tree, seed yielding seed. To you, it shall be for food.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:30 And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps upon the earth which has living creature (breath) in it, (I have given) every green plant for food\u201d; and it was so.<\/p>\n
Gen. 1:31 God saw all which he made and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.<\/p>\n
Genesis Two<\/p>\n
Gen. 2:1\u00a0 <\/span>Thus the heavens and the earth were completed and all their hosts.<\/p>\n Gen. 2:2\u00a0 <\/span>And God completed by the seventh day His work he had done and ceased on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:3\u00a0 <\/span>And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because on it He ceased from all His work God created in making. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:4 This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in a day the Lord God made earth and heavens.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:5\u00a0 <\/span>Now before there was any (wild) shrub of the field on the earth and before any plant of the field had sprouted \u2014for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the land and man was not cultivating the ground.<\/p>\n Gen. 2:6\u00a0 <\/span>And a flowing waters used to go up from the earth and water the whole surface of the ground.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:7\u00a0 <\/span>And the Lord God formed the man\u2014 dust from the ground and breathed in his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:8\u00a0 <\/span>Now the LORD God had planted a garden in Eden in the east and set there the man whom He had formed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:9 And the Lord God caused to grow from the ground every tree desirable for the eyes and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Gen. 2:10\u00a0 <\/span>Now a river flows from Eden to water the garden and from there it divided and became four headwaters.<\/p>\n Gen. 2:11 The name of one (river) is Pishon;\u00a0 <\/span>it flows around the whole land Havilah, where there is gold.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:12 The gold of the land is good there and the bdellium and the onyx stone.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:13\u00a0 <\/span>The name of the second river is Gihon; it flows around all the land of Cush.<\/p>\n Gen. 2:14 And the name of the third river is Tigris; it flows from the east of Assyria.\u00a0 <\/span>And the fourth river is the Euphrates.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:15 And the LORD God took the man and set him in a resting place in the garden of Eden to worship and to serve.<\/p>\n Gen. 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man saying, \u201cFrom every tree of the garden, you may eat freely.<\/p>\n Gen. 2:17 But from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat from it.\u00a0 <\/span>For in the day you eat from it, you shall surely die.\u201d<\/p>\n Gen. 2:18 And the LORD God said, \u201cIt is not good for man to be alone: I will make for him a helper corresponding to him.\u201d<\/p>\n Gen. 2:19\u00a0 <\/span>And the LORD God formed from the ground every living beast and every bird of the sky and brought to the man to see what he would name it;\u00a0 <\/span>And whatever the man called it\u2014the living creature, it was its name.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:20\u00a0 <\/span>The man gave names to all the cattle and to the birds of the sky, and to every living beast of the field, but for Adam there was not found a helper corresponding to him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:21\u00a0 <\/span>So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man and while he was asleep, he took one part from his sides and closed up the flesh under it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:22\u00a0 <\/span>The LORD God fashioned into a woman the side part<\/i> which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. This one shall be called woman,\u00a0<\/span>because this one was taken from the man.\u201d<\/p>\n Gen. 2:23 And the man said,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis one at last is bone from my bones\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n and flesh from my flesh. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This one shall be called woman,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n because this one was taken from the man.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:24 This is why a man leaves his father and his mother and unites with his woman.\u00a0 <\/span>They shall become one flesh.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gen. 2:25 And the man and the woman were both naked and not ashamed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Genesis 1 Gen. 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
