{"id":5408,"date":"2018-09-25T16:26:38","date_gmt":"2018-09-25T21:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bibleacademyonline.com\/omo\/?page_id=5408"},"modified":"2026-01-01T18:09:47","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T00:09:47","slug":"zechariah","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bibleacademyonline.com\/omo\/translations\/old-testament\/zechariah\/","title":{"rendered":"Zechariah"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Zechariah<\/p>\n<p>Chapter One<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah the prophet, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo saying,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThe LORD was very angry with your fathers.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:3 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cTherefore say to them, \u2018Thus says the LORD of hosts, \u201cReturn to me,\u201d declares the LORD of hosts, \u201cthat I may return to you,\u201d says the LORD of hosts.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:4 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cDo not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying, \u2018Thus says the LORD of hosts, \u201cReturn now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.\u201d\u2019<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>But they did not listen or give heed to me,\u201d declares the LORD.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAs for your fathers, where are they? And did the prophets live forever?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:6 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cBut did not my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your fathers?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then they repented and said, \u2018As the LORD of hosts purposed to do to us in accordance with our ways and our deeds, so he has done with us.\u2019\u201d\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah the prophet, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, as saying:<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I saw at night, [had a vision] and behold, a man [angel] was mounted on a red horse, and he [on the red horse] was standing among the myrtle trees which were in the ravine, with red, sorrel and white horses behind him.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:9 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I said, \u201cWhat are these, my lord [sir]?\u201d And the angel who was speaking with me said to me, \u201cI will show you what these are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And the man who was standing among the myrtle trees answered and said, \u201cThese are those (angels on horses] whom the LORD has sent to patrol the earth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:11<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So they answered the angel of the LORD who was <i> <\/i>standing among the myrtle trees and said, \u201cWe have patrolled the earth, and behold, all the earth is at rest and quiet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:12<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the angel of the LORD said, \u201cO LORD of hosts, how long will you have no compassion for Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, with which you have been indignant these seventy years?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:13<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The LORD addressed the angel who was speaking with me with gracious words, comforting words.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:14<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So the angel who was speaking with me said to me, \u201cProclaim, saying, \u2018Thus says the LORD of hosts,\u201cI am<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion, very jealous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:15 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>But I am greatly angered with the nations who are complacent; for while I was only a little angry, they furthered <i>for themselves <\/i>the disaster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:16<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018Therefore thus says the LORD, \u201cI will return to Jerusalem with compassion; My house will be built in it,\u201d declares the LORD of hosts, \u201cand a measuring line will be stretched over Jerusalem.\u201d\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:17<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAgain, proclaim, saying, \u2018Thus says the LORD of hosts, \u201cMy cities will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and again choose Jerusalem.\u201d\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:18<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, four horns.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:19<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So I said to the angel who was speaking with me, \u201cWhat are these?\u201d And he answered me, \u201cThese are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:20<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the LORD showed me four craftsmen.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 1:21<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I said, \u201cWhat are these coming to do?\u201d And he said, \u201cThese are the horns which have scattered Judah so that no man lifts up his head; but these<i> craftsmen<\/i> have come to terrify them, to cut off the horns of the nations who have lifted up <i>their<\/i> horns against the land of Judah in order to scatter it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Two<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, <i>there was<\/i> a man with a measuring line in his hand.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So I said, \u201cWhere are you going?\u201d And he said to me, \u201cTo measure Jerusalem, to see how wide it is and how long it is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And behold, the angel who was speaking with me was going out, and another angel was coming to meet him,<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and said to him , \u201cHurry, tell to that young man [to Zechariah], saying, \u2018Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls because of the multitude of men and cattle within it.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And I myself will be a wall of fire around her,\u2019 declares the LORD, and I will be the glory in her midst.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:6<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Alas! Alas! Flee from the land of the north,\u201d declares the LORD, \u201cfor I have scattered you like the four winds of the heavens,\u201d declares the LORD.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAlas, Zion! Escape, you who are living with the daughter of Babylon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For thus says the LORD of hosts,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAfter [For the sake of] glory he has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of his eye.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cFor behold, I will move my hand over them so that they will be plunder for their slaves.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cSing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for behold I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,\u201d declares the LORD.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:11<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cMany nations will join themselves to the LORD in that day and will become my people.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I will dwell in your midst, and you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:12<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThe LORD will possess Judah as His portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 2:13<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cBe silent, all flesh, before the LORD;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>for He is aroused from his holy dwelling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Three<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 3:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 3:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The LORD said to Satan, \u201cThe LORD rebuke you, Satan!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 3:3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and standing before the angel.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 3:4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He spoke and said to those who were standing before him, saying, \u201cRemove the filthy garments from him.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then he said to him, \u201cSee, I have taken from upon you\u00a0your iniquity and will cloth you with festal robes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 3:5 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I spoke up and said, \u201cLet them put a clean <i> <\/i>turban on his head.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments, while the angel of the LORD was standing by.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 3:6<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the angel of the LORD exhorted Joshua saying,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 3:7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThus says the LORD of hosts, \u2018If you will walk in my ways and if you keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give to you goings (access) among these who are standing here.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 3:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Listen now, Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who are sitting before you, men who are a <i> <\/i>symbol, I am going to bring in my servant the Branch.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 3:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018For behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; on one stone are seven eyes.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Behold, I will engrave an inscription on it,\u2019 declares the LORD of hosts, \u2018and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 3:10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018In that day,\u2019 declares the LORD of hosts, \u2018everyone will invite his neighbor to <i>sit<\/i> under<i> his <\/i>vine and under<i> his<\/i> fig tree.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Four<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the angel who was speaking with me returned and roused me, as a man who is awakened from his sleep.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He said to me, \u201cWhat do you see?\u201d And I said, \u201cI see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold and a bowl [receptacle] at the top and seven lamps on it with seven and seven [lit.] spouts to the lamps which are on top; <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>also two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left side.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I responded and said to the angel who was speaking with me, saying, \u201cWhat are these, my lord?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>4:5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the angel who was speaking with me replied and said to me \u201cDo you not know what these are?\u201d And I said, \u201cNo, my lord.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:6<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then he answered and said to me, \u201cThis is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, \u2018Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit,\u2019 says the LORD of hosts.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:7 \u2018What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel<i> you will become<\/i> a <i>level <\/i>plain; and he will bring forth the capstone with shouts of \u201cGrace, grace to it!\u201d\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Also the word of the LORD came to me, saying,<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThe hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundations of this house [temple], and his hands will complete it.\u201d Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you [pl.].<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cFor who has despised the day of small things? But these [seven eyes] will rejoice when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel\u2014these seven eyes of the LORD which constantly roam throughout the earth.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:11<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I asked him, \u201cWhat are these two olive trees on the right of the lampstand and on its left?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:12<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I asked a second question and said to him, \u201cWhat are the two branch extensions of the olive trees which through two golden pipes, which empty from themselves the golden<i> oil<\/i> ?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>4:13<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So he answered me, saying, \u201cDo you not know what these are?\u201d And I said, \u201cNo, my lord.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 4:14<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then he said, \u201cThese two are sons of fresh oil who are standing by the Lord of the whole earth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Five<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 5:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I turned and lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a flying scroll!<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 5:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And he said to me, \u201cWhat do you see?\u201d And I answered, \u201cI see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits and its width ten cubits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 5:3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then he said to me, \u201cThis is the<i> <\/i>curse that is going out over the face of the whole land; for everyone who steals, on the one hand, according to it [the curse] will be banished, and everyone who swears falsely, on the other hand, according to it [the curse] will be banished.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 5:4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cI will make it go out,\u201d declares the LORD of hosts,\u201cand it will enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by my name [perjurer]; and it will remain within his house and consume it both its timber and its stones.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 5:5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the angel who was speaking with me went out and said to me, \u201c Now lift up your eyes and see what this is going out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 5:6<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I said, \u201cWhat is it?\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And he said, \u201cThis is the ephah<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>going out.\u201d And he added, \u201cThis is their appearance in all the land.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 5:7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and behold, a talent of lead [lid] was being lifted up; and this woman was sitting inside the ephah.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 5:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then he said, \u201cThis is wickedness!\u201d And he threw her down into the middle of the ephah and throwing the lead weight[ed lid] on its opening.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 5:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I lifted up my eyes and looked and behold two women with a wind in their wings; and they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 5:10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I said to the angel who was speaking with me, \u201cWhere are they taking the ephah <i>basket<\/i>?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 5:11<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then he said to me, \u201cTo build for her a temple in the land of Shinar\u00a0[Babylonia]; and when it is prepared, she will be set there on her own place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Six<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I turned and lifted my eyes and looked, and behold,<i> <\/i>four chariots were coming forth from between the two mountains; and the mountains<i> were<\/i> mountains of bronze.<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With the first chariot<i> were <\/i>red horses, with the second chariot black horses,<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>with the third chariot white horses, and with the fourth chariot strong dappled horses.<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I spoke and said to the angel who was speaking to me,\u201d \u201cWhat are these, my lord?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:5 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The angel answered and said to me, \u201cThese are the four winds of heaven, going forth after standing before the Lord of all the earth.<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:6<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The one [chariot] with the black horses is going toward the land of the north and <i>the chariot with the <\/i>white ones goes forth after them, and <i>the chariot with the <\/i>dappled ones goes forth to the land of the south.<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:7 \u201cWhen the strong ones had gone out, they were eager to go throughout the earth.\u201d And He said, \u201cGo, walk about the earth.\u201d So they patrolled about the earth.<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then he called out to me and spoke to me saying, \u201cSee, those who are going to the land of the north have quieted my spirit in the land of the north.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The word of the LORD also came to me, saying,<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cReceive<i> an offering <\/i>from the exiles, from Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah; who came from Babylon and you go the same day and enter the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah.<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:11<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cTake silver and gold, make a<i> <\/i>crown and set<i> it<\/i> on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:12<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThen say to him, \u2018Thus says the LORD of hosts, \u201cBehold, a man whose name is Branch, for he will branch out from where he is; and he will build the temple of the LORD.<\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:13<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He who will build the temple of the LORD, and <i>it is <\/i>he who will bear the honor and sit and rule on his throne.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And he will be a priest on his throne and the counsel of peace will be between them both [priest and king].<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:14<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cNow the crown will be to Helem, Tobijah, Jedaiah and Hen the son of Zephaniah a reminder [of the coming Messiah] in the temple of the LORD.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech.6:15<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThose who are far away will come and build the temple of the LORD.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me [angel of the LORD\/pre-incarnate Christ] to you. This will happen if you completely obey the voice of the LORD your God.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Chapter Seven<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah on the fourth<i> day<\/i> of the ninth month, <i>which is <\/i>Chislev.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Now <i>the town of<\/i> Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-melech and their men to seek the face [favor] of the LORD,<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:3 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>speaking to the priests of the temple of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, \u201cShall I weep in the fifth month and abstain <i>from food<\/i>, as I have done over the years?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cSay to all the people of the land and to the priests, \u2018When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months these seventy years, did you really fast for me?<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:6 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018When you were eating and drinking, do you not eat for yourselves and do you not drink for yourselves?<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018Are not <i>these<\/i> the words the LORD proclaimed through the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and prosperous along with its cities around it, and the Negev and the foothills Shephelah were inhabited?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the word of the LORD came to Zechariah saying,<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThis is what the LORD of hosts has said,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>\u201c\u2018Administer true justice and practice kindness and compassion each to his brother;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and do not oppress the widow or the orphan, the stranger or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:11<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cBut they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder and stopped their ears from hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:12<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThey made their hearts hard so that they could not hear the law and the words which the LORD of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So great wrath came from the LORD of hosts.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:13<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It came about that just as I called, they did not listen; so when they called, I would not listen,\u201d says the LORD of hosts. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 7:14<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cbut I scattered them with a storm wind among all the nations whom they have not known. Thus the land behind them is desolated so that no one went back and forth <i>through it<\/i>, for they made the desirable land, desolate.<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Eight<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the word of the LORD of hosts came, saying,<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:2 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThus says the LORD of hosts, \u2018I am<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>jealous for Zion, greatly jealous and with great wrath I am jealous for her.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThus says the LORD, \u2018I will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the LORD of hosts<i> will be called<\/i> the Holy Mountain.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThus says the LORD of hosts, \u2018Old men and old women will again sit in the plazas of Jerusalem, each with his cane in his hand because of old age.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:5 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018And the plazas of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:6<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThus says the LORD of hosts, \u2018Though it may be difficult<i> to understand<\/i> in the eyes of the remainder of this <i>Jewish <\/i>people in those [future] days, will it also be difficult in my eyes?\u2019 says the Lord of hosts.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThus says the LORD of hosts, \u2018Behold, I am going to save my people from the land of the east and from the land of the west;<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and I will bring them <i>back<\/i> and they will live in the midst of Jerusalem; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God in truth and righteousness.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:9 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThus says the LORD of hosts, \u2018Let your hands be strong, you who are listening in these days to these words from the mouth of the prophets, who <i>were there<\/i> in the day of the founding of the house of the LORD of hosts so the temple might be built.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018For before those days there was no wage for man or any wage for animal;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and for him who went out or came in there was no peace from his enemy and I set all men one against another.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:11<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018But now I will not be to the remaining of these people as I was in the former days,\u2019 says the LORD of hosts.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:12 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018For the seed of peace: the vine will yield its fruit, the land will yield its produce and the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remaining of this people to inherit all these<i> things.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:13<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018It will come about that just as you were a curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not fear; let your hands be strong.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:14<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cFor thus says the LORD of hosts, \u2018Just as I had determined to cause disaster to you, when your fathers made me angry\u2019 says the LORD of hosts, \u2018and I have not relented.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:15<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So now I have turned <i>from that<\/i>, I have determined in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Do not fear!<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:16<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018These are the things which you should do: speak the truth to one another; judge with true and sound judgments in you gates [courts].<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:17<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018Also let none of you devise evil in your heart against another, and do not love a false testimony; for all these are what I hate,\u2019 declares the LORD.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:18<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:19<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThus says the LORD of hosts, \u2018The fast of the fourth, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth<i> months<\/i> will become joy, gladness, and cheerful feasts for the house of Judah; so love truth and peace.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:20<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThus says the LORD of hosts, \u2018It will yet come to pass that peoples will come, even the inhabitants of many cities.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:21<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018The inhabitants of one will go to another, saying, \u201cLet us go at once to entreat the favor of the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts; I will also go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:22<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2018So many peoples and many nations will come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the LORD.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 8:23<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThus says the LORD of hosts, \u2018In those days ten men [people] from all languages and nations will grasp and grab hold of a Jew, saying, \u201cLet us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.\u201d\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Nine<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>An oracle of the word of the LORD concerning the land of Hadrach, with its resting place on Damascus: for the eyes of men, and all the tribes of Israel, are toward the LORD.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and also Hamath which borders on it [Damascus],<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For Tyre built herself a fortress<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>And piled up silver like dust,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>And gold like the mire of the streets.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Behold, the Lord will dispossess her<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>And cast her wealth into the sea;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>And she will be consumed with fire.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Ashkelon will see it [Alexander\u2019s army] and fear; Gaza too will writhe in great pain;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Also Ekron, for her hope will have been dried up.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Moreover, the king will perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>will not be inhabited.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:6<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And a mongrel race will dwell in Ashdod,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>And I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And I will remove their blood from their mouth<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>And their detestable things from between their teeth.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Then those also who remain will belong to our God<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and be like a clan in Judah,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and Ekron like a Jebusite.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I will encamp around my house [temple] as a guard from anyone crossing back and forth; <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and no oppressor will pass over them anymore.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>For now I have seen with my eyes. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Shout<i>,<\/i> daughter of Jerusalem!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Behold, your king is coming to you;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>he is righteous and and shows himself as Savior, <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>humble, and mounted on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I will cut off the chariot from Ephraimand the warhorse from Jerusalem,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and the battle bow will be cut off<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and He will speak peace to the nations;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and His dominion will be from sea<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and from the River to the ends of the earth.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:11<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>As for you, because of the blood of your covenant,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>I will release your prisoners from the waterless pit.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:12<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Return to the stronghold, O prisoners who have the hope; This very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:13<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I will bend Judah as my bow; <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>I will fill <i>the bow<\/i> with Ephraim<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and I will make you, <i>Zion<\/i> like a warrior\u2019s sword.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:14 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the LORD will appear above them,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and his arrow will shoot forth like lightning;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>the Lord GOD will blow the trumpet,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>he will march in the storm-winds of the south.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:15<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The LORD of hosts will defend them,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and they will devour and trample on sling stones.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Then they will drink<i> and<\/i> be boisterous as with wine;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>and they will be filled like a <i>sacrificial<\/i> basin,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>like the corners of the altar.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:16<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And the LORD their God will save them on that day as the flock of His people;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>For <i>they are as<\/i> the precious stones of a crown,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>sparkling over his land.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 9:17<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For how great is his [the Messiah\u2019s] goodness and how great his beauty! <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Grain shall make the young men thrive, and new wine the young women.<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Ten<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:1 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Ask rain from the LORD at the time of the spring rain\u2014the LORD who makes the storm clouds and he will give showers of rain, vegetation in the field to <i>each<\/i> man.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For the teraphim have spoken wickedness, and the diviners see lies and they speak false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore<i> the people <\/i>wander like sheep. They are afflicted because there is no shepherd. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cMy anger is inflamed against the shepherds, and I<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>will punish the male goats (leaders).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p>For the LORD of\u00a0<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>hosts has visited his flock, the house of Judah, and will<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>make them like his majestic warhorse in battle.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:4 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cFrom him will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the bow of battle, from him every tyrannical ruler together.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThey will be as warriors, trampling in the mire of the streets in war.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>They will fight, for the LORD will be with them, and will shame the enemy cavalry.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:6<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cI will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will deliver the house of Joseph and I will restore them because I have compassion on them. They will be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the LORD their God and I will answer them.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThe Ephraimites will be like warriors and will rejoice as if from <i>drinking<\/i> wine. And their children will see and rejoice.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Their heart will rejoice in the LORD.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cI will hiss [signal] for them and gather them, for I have redeemed them;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and they will be as numerous as they were before.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThough I sowed them among the peoples [nations],<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>they will remember me in distant countries, they will live with their children and return.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:10 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cI will bring them back from the land of Egypt<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and gather them from Assyria; <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon and there will not be <i>enough <\/i>room for them.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:11 \u201cHe [the LORD] will cross over the sea, distress <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>and calm its waves in the sea. The depths of the Nile will dry up. And the pride of Assyria will be brought down and the scepter of Egypt will depart.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 10:12<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAnd I will strengthen them in the Lord,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and in his name they will walk,\u201d declares the Lord.<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Eleven<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:1\u00a0 Open your gates, Lebanon,\u00a0so that a fire may consume your cedars.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:2\u00a0 Wail, cypress, for the cedar has fallen,\u00a0because the glorious<i> trees<\/i> have been destroyed;\u00a0Wail, oaks of Bashan,\u00a0for the inaccessible forest has fallen.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:3\u00a0 There is a sound of the wail of a shepherd,for their glory is ruined;There is a sound of the young lions\u2019 roar,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0beause the thicket of the Jordan is ruined. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Thus says the LORD my God, \u201cShepherd the flock<i><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>going<\/i> to slaughter.<\/p>\n<p>Zech.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>11:5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Those who buy them slaughter them and do not get punished.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Those who sell them say \u2018Blessed be the LORD, for I have become rich!\u2019 And their own shepherds have no pity on them.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:6<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For I will no longer have compassion on the inhabitants of the land,\u201d declares the LORD; but behold, I will cause each man to fall into the hand of his neighbor and the hand of his king; and they will strike the land, and I will not deliver<i> them<\/i> from their hand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So I shepherded the flock<i> going<\/i> to slaughter, particularly the most afflicted of the flock. And I took for myself two staffs: the one I called Favor and the other I called Union; so I pastured the flock.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I destroyed the three shepherds in one month, for I was impatient with them and they were weary of me.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I said, \u201cI will not shepherd you. What is to die, let it die, and what is to be destroyed, let it be destroyed; and let those who are left eat one another\u2019s flesh.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I took my staff Favor and cut it in pieces, to break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:11 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So it was broken on that day, and thus the afflicted of the flock who were watching me realized that it was the word of the LORD.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:12<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I said to them, \u201cIf it is good in your sight, give<i> me<\/i> my wages; but if not, keep it!\u201d So they weighed out thirty<i> shekels<\/i> of silver as my wages.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:13 Then the LORD said to me, \u201cThrow it to the potter, <i>that<\/i> exorbitant price at which I was valued by them.\u201d So I took the thirty<i> shekels<\/i> of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of the LORD.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:14<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then I cut in pieces my second staff Union, to break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:15<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The LORD said to me, \u201cTake again for yourself the equipment of a foolish shepherd.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:16<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cFor behold, I am going to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for the perishing, seek the scattered, heal the broken, or sustain the one standing, but will devour the flesh of the fat<i> sheep<\/i> and tear off their hoofs.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 11:17<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Woe to the worthless shepherd who abandons the flock!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>May a sword strike his arm and his right eye! May his arm be completely withered, his right eye completely blinded!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Twelve<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>An oracle of the word of the LORD concerning Israel.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>An utterance of the LORD <i>who <\/i>spread the heavens established the earth and forms the spirit of man within him.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cBehold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all nations around.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>When the siege happens against Jerusalem, it will also come against Judah.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cIt will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy rock for all the peoples;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:4 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cIn that day,\u201d declares the LORD, \u201cI will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness. But over the house of Judah, I will watch with my eyes but I will strike all the horses of the peoples with blindness.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThen the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts, \u2018The inhabitants of Jerusalem are a strong <i>support<\/i> to us in the LORD of hosts, their God.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:6<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cIn that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a firepot among wood and a burning torch among sheaves, so they will consume all the surrounding peoples on their right and on the left, while <i>the<\/i> <i>people of <\/i>Jerusalem still inhabitant its [<i>their<\/i>] place in Jerusalem.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:7 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThe LORD also will deliver the homes of Judah first, so that the splendor of the kingship of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will not be over that of Judah.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cIn that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and it will so happen that the feeblest among them in that day will be like David and the house of David will be like God like the angel of the LORD before them.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAnd in that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cI will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and supplication: and they will look to me whom they have pierced and they will mourn for him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:11<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>On that day the lamentation in Jerusalem will be as great as the lamentation at Hadad-Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:12<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The land will mourn, clan by clan: the clan of the royal household of David by itself and their wives by themselves; the clan of the family of Nathan by itself and their wives by themselves;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:13<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>the clan of the descendants of Levi by itself and their wives by themselves; and the clan of the Shimeites by itself and their wives by themselves;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 12:14<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>all the clans that remain clan by clan<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>by itself and their wives by themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Thirteen<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 13:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cIn that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for [cleansing from] sin and for impurity.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 13:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cIt will come about in that day,\u201d declares the LORD of hosts,\u201cthat I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered; and I will also remove the prophets and the unclean spirit from the land.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 13:3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAnd if it happens that anyone still prophesies,<\/p>\n<p>then his father and mother who gave birth to him will say to him, \u2018You shall not live, for you have spoken a lie in the name of the Lord\u2019; and his father and mother who gave birth to him will pierce him through when he prophesies.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 13:4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAlso it will come about in that day that the prophets will each be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies, and they will not put on a hairy robe in order to deceive;<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 13:5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>but he will say, \u2018I am not a prophet; I am a man who tills the soil, for a man has caused one to buy me to sell me from my youth.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 13:6<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAnd one will say to him, \u2018What are these wounds between your arms?\u2019<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then he will say, \u2018<i>Those<\/i> with which I was wounded in the house of my loved ones.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 13:7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAwake, O sword, against my Shepherd,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span> and against the man, my equal,\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>declares the LORD of hosts. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>\u201cStrike the shepherd that the sheep may be scattered;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>and I will turn my hand against the little ones.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 13:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It will happen in all the land, declares the LORD, \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u201cThat two thirds <i>of the people <\/i>in it will be cut off<i> and<\/i><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>perish;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>and one third will be left in it.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 13:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAnd I will bring the third part through the fire,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>refine them as silver is refined,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>and test them as gold.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>They will call on my name,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>and I will answer them;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>I will say, \u2018They are my people,\u2019<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>And they will say, \u2018The LORD is my God.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Fourteen<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 14:1<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Behold, a day is coming for the LORD<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>when your spoil will be divided in your midst.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 14:2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women raped and half of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Zech. 14:3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 14:4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><i>forming<\/i> a very large valley;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 14:5 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Then you will flee by the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azal; You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD, my God, will come, <i>and<\/i> all the holy ones with him!<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 14:6 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It will happen in that day <i>that<\/i> there will be no light: luminaries will dwindle.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 14:7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It will be a unique day which is known to the LORD,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>neither day nor night, but it will come about that at evening time there will be light.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 14:8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And in that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will happen in summer and in winter.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 14:9<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And the LORD will be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD will be one, and his name<i> <\/i>one.<\/p>\n<p>Zech. 14:10 All the land will be made like the Arabah from Geba to Rimmon, south of Jerusalem.
